Important Information
Please read entire document!
It is your responsibility to ensure that every racer you book for reads this document.
A link will be provided via email when you book online.
To ensure we can allow as many people to race as possible, it is important that every racer is registered and arrives
30 minutes before your first race, or you may forfeit your races.
This will allow enough time for us to confirm your booking and ensure that everyone is completely ready.
If any person you've booked for can't race for any reason,
please contact us as soon as possible.
We can not make any changes within 24 hours of your booking.
Any changes outside of that are not guaranteed and will be at our discretion.
We often have people that can't book in due to us not having enough time-slots available,
so once you've booked, we may not be able to make any changes to your booking.
As a hygiene precaution, all racers will be required to wear a balaclava
under their helmet, unless they bring their own road-legal motorbike/racing helmet. We sell balaclavas for $4 each.
You must leave a 30 minute gap between the start time of each race!
It is possible to make this mistake if you make two separate bookings or book two different types of karts and
expect the same person to race in both. If you do this, that person will miss the second race!
No refunds or replacements will be issued for missed races,
or if anyone decides not to race for any reason.
If a kart stops on track, spins out, is stuck against a barrier, or for any other reason that may cause
regular racing to be unsafe, all the karts will be slowed and a staff memeber will come and help fix
the issue.
If you cause the race to be slowed multiple times, we may
remove you from the race.
It is not safe for Jr Karts and any other kart type to race at the same time. Jr karts will race separately
from all other karts except in the case of whole track hire of a family combined race.
Jr Kart racers must be at least 7 years old, and must be at least 120cm tall.
Adult Kart racers must be at least 13 years old, and must be at least 140cm tall.
While racing at our centre, you must agree to:
- keep social distancing measures in mind and stay at least 1.5 meters apart from each other
- have zero alcohol present in your body
- wear closed toe shoes
- have no loose clothing or hair
- not hold Hyperdrive Kart racing liable for any injuries or damages that occur while driving our karts
If any team member decides that it is not safe for you to race for any reason, you will forfeit your races.
We strongly advise against racing when pregnant or if you have any health issues that may make it dangerous
to race.
Races will end when the first person finishes their last lap, or 9 minutes
after the race has been started, whichever comes first.
All multiple race purchases are to be used on the same day or may be forfeit.
We require all December bookings to be fully paid before the 1st of December!
If you have paid a 50% deposit please make sure the remainder is paid by this
date or your booking time slot may be offered to others.
For large bookings in December, please be aware that we will not accept any
booking cancellations, major alterations, or date changes after the 30th of
November. Slight amendments may be possible at the manager's discretion
with plenty of notice.
We do not offer refunds for bookings, however depending on the situation a
credit may be offered, depending on when the cancellation is made.
Cancellations in November = 25% of total booking may be credited,
cancellations in October = 50% total booking may be credited,
and cancellations in September = 75% of total booking may be credited.
The credits will be at the manager's discretion.
We take your privacy seriously. Hyperdrive Kart Racing collects your details for the purposes of
recording and sending you information regarding your bookings and races,
and sending occasional emails (e.g. birthday deals). Our website has simple cookies for recording
how many times each page has been visited by users and to help us design our communications better, etc.
More Important InformationRegarding Shifter Karts
Please read!
Every racer using a shifter kart must hold a Hyperdrive Shifter Kart Licence for the Enduro Track!
If a racer holds a shifter license for the Sprint Track, but has not yet qualified for the Enduro Track,
please book a regular adult kart. If we are running the Sprint Track (which we will only do when it's
wet outside), we may be able to upgrade the racer to a shifter kart on the day.
Any racers booked for Shifter Karts who do not hold a Hyperdrive Shifter Kart Licence for the Enduro
Track will race in the regular Adult Karts instead, and no refund or replacement otherwise will be
issued.
To qualify for a shifter license on the Enduro track, you must complete a lap in less than 46 seconds
in the regular Adult Karts, or complete a lap on the Sprint Track in less than 17.5 seconds in the
Shifter Karts.
To qualify for a shifter license on the Sprint track, you must complete a lap in less than 18.7 seconds
in the regular Adult Karts. Enduro Track shifter license holders may race the Shifter Karts
on both tracks
More Important InformationRegarding Duo Karts
Please read!
Duo karts are big, heavy, and hard to handle. They are not for racing, but instead for giving a person, who
can't drive a kart alone, a thrilling ride in the passenger seat.
The driver must drive cautiously and only overtake if there is a very slow kart in front of them.
Otherwise, it is important for the driver to keep out of the other racers' way, mostly by keeping to the right.
Only the driver of the Duo Kart needs to book and register. The passenger can be as young as 4 years old if
you believe they are suitable.
Be aware that the passenger will need to wear a helmet which can be quite bulky and heavy for young children.
If your passenger does not wish to race upon arrival,
we may have a regular Adult Kart free for you to race in,
however no refund or replacement will be provided.
The driver of a duo kart must be at least 18 years old.
